Pneumatic PU Foam Machines: Pros and Cons

Pneumatic polyurethane foam is a kind of equipment for spraying or filling polyurethane foam driven by compressed air, the core of which is to control the mixing and spraying of polyurethane raw materials through air pressure, which is suitable for the middle building thermal insulation, filling and sealing, and automobile interiors.
I. Advantages of pneumatic polyurethane foam
1. Simple structure, easy to start, no need for complex motor, circuit system, small size, light weight, handling is more convenient.
2. Low cost, it has less parts, daily maintenance only need to clean the raw material pipeline, check the sealing of the air circuit, low failure rate, less maintenance costs.
3. Higher safety, no motor or high-temperature parts, reduce the risk of electric sparks, more suitable for flammable and explosive environments.
4. Low vibration, low noise, since the pneumatic pressure drive, no motor high-speed operation of vibration and noise during the work process, suitable for environmental noise-sensitive scenes.
Second, the shortcomings of pneumatic polyurethane foam
1. Low working efficiency, output pressure and flow rate is limited by air pressure, the raw material conveying speed of pneumatic drive is slow, the foam mixing uniformity and spraying speed is not as good as high voltage motor type equipment, it is difficult to meet the high efficiency demand of large-scale plant heat preservation and large-area filling.
2. Sensitive to the environment, the moisture in the compressed air may condense in the low temperature environment, resulting in equipment icing or foam curing abnormality.
3. Dependent on external air source, need a continuous and stable compressed air supply, can't work independently, increase the equipment investment cost, the length of the air pipe limits the scope of movement, outdoor work may be inconvenient.
